I think I have learned a lot of necessary knowledge and skills, and I fully prepared for my future entry into the formal curriculum for graduate students. For example, my first course was EAP-505-P13. This course not only taught how to use PPT to express myself, but also made me understand the academic rules of studying in the United States. The professor in this course also taught me some truths. For example, in the United States, I need to be more brave than humble. I need to be brave enough to make mistakes and not be afraid to make mistakes and do nothing. Also, the major courses learned in this semester offers me the solid foundation in academic study. STAT-515, the core course of Data Analytics, helps me get used to the logical thinking when fixing the practical business problem. The CS-504 not only help me initial in data analytics by giving the basic concepts of big data, but also makes me learn different types programming languages required for the data processing, including SQL, NOSQL. The two academic courses deepen me the interest in this major which gives me the strong desire to continue study in this field.

I attended in the course EAP-506-P10. This course was mainly about academic writing. So, in this course I learned how to express myself clearly in writing and I also learned basic grammar and sentence structure. While practicing writing, I read a lot of articles and learned how to write by analyzing articles. In the reading process, I also learned to extract the main content and the central idea of the article, and it could well rewrite the original text and summarize the general content of the article. Because of the large amount of reading and writing that accompanies graduate students, the ability to read and write is very important and practical. At the same time, in the last semester in the course of PROV-501-P07, I also learned basic writing skills. I also trained my speaking ability and speaking ability through reading leadership. These abilities are essential for graduate students because it is a form of expression that aims to make their thinking more clearly understood by others. The most suitable graduate formal course is my professional course.

In addition, I also participated in various formal and informal activities. These activities have benefited me greatly. I have not only improved my English proficiency, improved my listening and speaking skills, but also made me more adaptable to learning in the United States. During this semester, I strengthened my study of writing and reading and supported writing with reference to a large number of documents. In short, this semester course is based on the last semester to strengthen the knowledge and capabilities learned. I think my math ability and experience are outstanding and it is my advantage. My listening ability is relatively good, and it is very helpful for me to absorb knowledge and understand professors.
